    Using a filling station

Every station has a cabinet that reads your tag and an outlet. Check which outlet size you're using — 50 mm stations supply the hose, 100 mm stations need your own camlock fitting.

    1. Position your containerPut the single container (for example a 1,000 litre tote) directly under the dispensing hose.
    2. Insert your tagPush the tag into the receiving port on the cabinet.
    3. Watch the displayEach pulse of the tag dispenses 100 litres. When the display reaches the amount you need, remove the tag.
    4. Wait for the flow to stopLet the water stop completely before moving the hose from the container.

    Questions

How quickly can I use credit I add online?

Straight away. The station network reads your balance from the same system, so as soon as the payment is approved the credit is available at every station on your tag.

Why is my top-up showing as pending?

A tag can hold at most $990. If your balance plus the top-up would go over that, the top-up is held as pending and added automatically once you've used enough water to make room. You'll get an email when it's added.

Why can I only top up in $25 steps online?

Remote top-ups (online and by phone) are made in $25 increments — $25, $50, $75 and so on. At a service centre you can add any amount.

Where do I find my tag number?

It's the 6-digit number printed on the tag itself. It's also on your application receipt. You'll need the postcode from your application too, so we know it's your tag.

Can I get an email when my balance is low?

Yes. Check your balance, then use “Email me when my balance is low” and choose the amount. We'll email you when a fill takes you under it.

What's the difference between a pre-paid and commercial tag?

Pre-paid tags are for individuals and companies who don't need a food licence and are loaded with credit before use. Commercial tags are for registered businesses with a Council credit account — water used is invoiced monthly instead.

I've lost my tag. What now?

Call 1300 883 699 straight away so we can block it. A replacement tag costs $82 and any balance (and pending top-ups) moves to the new tag.

    Can I fill a 1,000 litre tote at a 100 mm station?

Yes, but you'll need your own camlock fitting and delivery hose. We recommend reducing the hose to 50 mm to slow the fill rate.

Can I still top up by phone or at a service centre?

Yes. Call 1300 883 699 or visit a service centre during business hours. Online top-ups are simply the fastest option, and they're available around the clock.

    Is my payment secure?

Card details go straight to Council's payment provider and are never stored on this website. You'll get an emailed receipt with a reference number for every payment.
